Pinterest has just announced Creative, a new specialty in the Pinterest Marketing Partners programme.
Creative joins several other specialty areas on the popular social networking platform that let users save and share images attached to web content. Other schemes under the Pinterest Marketing Partners umbrella include Advertising, Content Marketing, Audiences and Measurement.
According to officials at Pinterest, the new Creative specialty is expected to provide solutions that will make it easier for brands to leverage the power of the social network. Creative will also help designers, copywriters, photographers and other creative professionals access the kind of data that makes marketing their businesses on the platform much more effective.
Pinterest Marketing Partners’ Head Michael Akkerman said that roughly 90% of weekly Pinterest users rely on the site to help make purchasing decisions and about 78% report that they find branded content useful in that process.
Partners for the initial launch of Creative include VidMob, Popular Pays, The Online Studio, Quickframe, Vidsy, Social Native and Shutterstock Custom.
Akkerman explained that these partners were tapped for the Pinterest Marketing Partners: Creative launch because they already understand how to connect with Pinterest users and create content that resonates.
“Creative is one of the last bastions left for true optimisation for brands to really make sure their messages resonate,” Akkerman said.
In addition to announcing the new Creative partnerships, Pinterest this week added new partners in Advertising and Content Marketing – Smartly.io and Hootsuite, respectively.
