Who are Purecontent?
We’re a Content and Digital Marketing agency based in the heart of Norwich. We provide content creation, digital marketing, and SEO services in multiple languages for global clients in a diverse range of industries. Our offices are in Norwich, with a growing community of content creators, writers and editors located all over the world.
The Vacancy
We are looking for a confident, experienced content professional to lead our content team and deliver high quality content across a diverse portfolio of projects on time and to budget.
Any successful applicant must have experience in the planning, creation and delivery of written content, preferably across multiple languages and a range of mediums. They will be responsible for the output of content for the entire company, including socials and our own marketing material as well as our content products.
The Head of Content (HOC) will drive a collaborative environment and foster a culture of continuous improvement, constantly trying to improve our products, streamline processes and create efficiency savings.
Our HOC will be open-minded but highly professional, with experience managing a range of individuals across different levels of seniority. With a thorough understanding of business practices and HR, they must be passionate about the development of their team implementing training and development plans for staff.
At ease leading a large team, they will be able to make and communicate significant decisions quickly and comfortably, and not shy away from tough conversations with staff and clients alike. They will also be able to challenge other senior members of our team when working collaboratively. The HOC will be part of our senior management team and thus involved in the day to day running of the entire business.
They will need to act as a subject matter expert in a sales environment, with new and existing clients. On occasion, attendance at conferences, talks and workshops will be necessary. Staying on top of the latest advances, challenges and developments in the industry is a must, and they will be passionate about content and take pride in what we deliver as a brand.
The HOC must be a leader who inspires and gets the best of people, to further the success of the department and the company alike.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing a team implementing a portfolio of successful content projects
- Planning and delivering a successful, profitable departmental strategy
- Driving a positive working culture and environment of continuous improvement
- Identifying and executing process improvements and efficiency savings across the department
- Developing and training others – managing managers and senior staff
- Improving product quality across the board
- Overseeing the recruitment strategy for the department – internal and external
- Implementing a rigorous quality assurance process
- Acting as the subject matter expert for potential sales opportunities and for existing clients
- Developing, overseeing and signing off departmental reporting structures
- Ensuring the department operates within the overall company budget, strategy and business plan

Qualifications and Experience
2+ years working in content marketing. Experience in the production, management and delivery of written content is essential. Recent experience of managing a team. Experience in writing and editing content, content marketing and SEO is desirable.
Excellent written and spoken English with a thorough working knowledge of grammar and punctuation.
Education to A-level or equivalent or existing industry knowledge with a minimum B Grade at English and Maths (or level 6) at GCSE.
Location and hours
We are based in Norwich City Centre. Our standard working hours are 8.30-17:00 Mon-Fri. We have a flexible working policy in place after successful probation.
