Tips to improve your social media content marketing

If you don’t spend time evaluating trends in social media to improve your content marketing strategy, you’re probably missing out on an effective way to build your email list, generate more conversions and improve your lead generation. Using social media is one of the best tools to make your business grow, as there are about 3.5 billion people worldwide that use social media daily.

Here are three trends in social media that you should incorporate into your content marketing strategy if you want to build a strong brand.

Develop personalized content

Since every person needs different things, it can be challenging to produce personalised content for social media to engage your audience. While it may be difficult to accomplish this, it’s not an impossible task. If you take the time to analyse the data collected by your analytics, you’ll be able to determine your audience’s interests and desires. These two factors will help you determine how to meet their needs. You’ll make more of an impact if you personalise your content to the interests of your target market than you will by posting generic content that may not appeal to anybody.

Also, most social media platforms will permit the use of surveys and polls on their sites. You can use these tools to let your audience vote on topics and answer questions, thereby providing you with insight on what they want while you keep them engaged.

Use high-quality content

It may seem obvious that you should always provide high-quality content, but many companies do not put the same effort into developing content for their social media accounts as they do in generating content for their blogs and websites. The quality of the content on social media is very important, as social media is the door that leads your audience to your website. It’s time to rethink your content marketing strategy if your social media content doesn’t offer your audience any insight or value.

Monitor your analytics

If you don’t monitor your analytics, you won’t have a clear realisation of how you can better tailor your content marketing efforts to your audience. It’s important to monitor the following metrics:

  • Engagement: How do your followers interact with your content?
  • Impressions: How many times has somebody viewed your post?
  • Likes: How many unique likes have an account or a post received?
  • Reach: How many unique individuals have visited your account?

When you monitor your social media activity, you’ll be able to optimise your content marketing strategy and see conversions increase.
