Four content formats to try when creating a new marketing campaign

More than two-thirds of B2B marketers are regularly using content marketing to build brand authority, credibility and leadership. Here are a few ideas to help your start-up or small business get a strategy and campaign up and running.

Blog foundation

Despite the emergence of more interactive and flashier forms of content, blogging still gets the job done and then some. Enterprises that are managing a regular blog see a 67% increase in leads compared to those without one and have a staggering 434% higher chance of featuring in the hallowed pages of Google search.

If you want a jumping off point for your blog, look close to home and talk about your business and why it’s worth investing time in, for both clients and customers. While hard sells are a turn off, divulging the secret to your success while outlining values can be a big hit with consumers.

Weekly or daily news

Publishing daily news articles is a great way to show that your finger is on the pulse and that you are an authority on breaking stories and trends within a respective industry. You could also opt for a weekly roundup covering the biggest news to keep readers up to speed with what’s going on. News is flexible and informative. It can be scaled up and down to suit the extent of coverage you want for a particular topic or keyword. Like blogs, news will always underscore the most successful content marketing campaigns.

Event summary

Another great way to boost brand credibility is to provide a complete overview of a major business event you attended with case studies, images and lessons. You can even sprinkle in quotes from leading industry figures to add credence and weight to your messages. Snippets of quotes and facts are perfect for making your articles more relevant in search rankings too.

Infographics

When you have your writing output in place, you could move towards more creative content materials such as infographics, which blend the written word and visuals to inform and engage audiences. As with every content practice, working with an agency can take your copywriting and design to the next level.
